Available at both Oak Leaf Manor properties, Friendship Place at Oak Leaf Manor provides
specialized care for individuals with mild to moderate memory impairment caused
by Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. Oak Leaf Manor’s philosophy
advocates treating the whole person and affirming the dignity of the
individual. The home-like, relaxed atmosphere allows residents to spend time
with our trained and experienced staff in smaller groups, where the emphasis is
on support and encouragement.
Friendship
Place is a secured unit, which allows for resident safety and peace of mind for
the families. Nursing, housekeeping, and activities staff receive specialized
training on a ongoing basis on the specific needs of those with dementia and
Alzheimer’s Disease. Friendship Place offers a daily schedule of activities
designed to maintain functioning, encourage independence, and ease the trauma
of confusion. Residents enjoy a variety of activities and special musical
events, including familiar favorites like vintage television programs and radio
shows.
