We pride ourselves on an open line of communication with family members. You will always have the option to set up a family care plan meeting or reach out to us with any questions. Each week, our upper management and nursing meets to discuss each and every resident. We discuss any changes that staff is seeing and if there are any family concerns. Families will be updated on any changes that are discussed.

Anytime! In fact, we encourage family members to join in on the many events that we have going on daily. This is a great way to spend quality time with your loved one. A family favorite is the live entertainment that we have every Thursday afternoon in our beautiful lobby.

Yes! We believe in keeping couples together longer if that is their wish. We have several options available for couples and you are able to choose which set is best for your needs.

We offer a seamless and quick transition. To apply, you will simply fill out our application and place a holding deposit to hold the room for you. Remember, we do not have any entrance fees or application fees so this deposit will be refundable at move out.

No! Oak Leaf Manor does not charge a buy in fee. We also do not take over your finances in anyway- you remain in control of your finances.

You certainly may. There is no charge to do so. Should you wish to utilize the convenience of our visiting physicians we will be happy to get you set up.

All three meals are included. Breakfast is made to order, lunch and dinner offer 3 different entrée options, several sides, salad bar and dessert!

We the staff eat from the menu ourselves quite frequently – because it’s good! Because we like to customize, our head chef holds monthly meetings to get feedback and suggestions. All residents are encouraged to attend to provide their input. Our menu has many items that are part of the “buy fresh, buy local” movement as our chef shops at the local farmers market for many of the menu items.

Yes, we offer Friendship Place which is our premier memory care unit.

Friendship Place is a secured unit, which facilitates resident safety and peace of mind for families, particularly of those who wander or are unable to determine personal safety protocol. Nursing, housekeeping, and activities staff receive specialized training on an ongoing and updated basis incorporating relevant new modalities specifically designed for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Friendship Place offers a daily schedule of adult-oriented activities developed to maintain functioning, encourage independence, and ease confusion while continuing to celebrate accomplishments, both past and present.

Friendship Place provides specialized care for individuals with memory impairment, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Lewy Body Disease, and other forms of dementia as well as memory impairment which occurs unexpectedly as a result of other health complications.

During the application process one of our head nurses will assess the applicant to determine what level of care will best suit your needs. Don’t worry! This assessment is noninvasive and takes only about a half an hour.

Yes, our nursing staff is able to help you manage your diabetes.

Yes! There is a wonderful benefit that we participate with through the Department of Veteran affairs. This is available to any veteran who has served during a war time era. Your admission specialist will help get you in touch with the right people for this benefit. Our private rooms are very much like having your own apartment. We encourage you to make your space feel like home.

We can provide bedroom furniture at no extra cost to you. This includes a twin bed, side table with a lamp, tall dresser, long dresser with a mirror and a straight back chair. You may use whichever pieces will suit your needs best.
